To begin a mission, the player must locate the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) aircraft in the northwestern part of Jupiter, just north of the Ash Heap anomaly. This can be done from the east, sticking close to the fence, or from the south; the path is hidden behind bushes and a Burner anomaly field. Upon inspection of the UAV, the player will receive its memory module. The module can be unlocked by Nitro or Novikov.
UAVs are aircraft without a human pilot on board. Instead, they are autonomously controlled by computers in the vehicle or remotely operated by a pilot on the ground or in another vehicle. The typical method of launching and retrieving an unmanned aircraft is through an automatic system or an external operator on the ground.
